RAILROAD ACCIDENT: Fresno Man Hit, Killed by Train

Fresno – A man was killed after he was hit by a freight train as he tried to pull free a shopping cart stucked on the tracks in central Fresno Saturday afternoon, reports said.
The Fresno County Coroner's Office was able to identify the man as 57-year-old Salvatore Lopiccolo who was said to be on the BNSF tracks north of Dakota Avenue at about 1:30 pm. The track is located between Palm and Fruit avenues.
Lopiccolo’s belongings were found but authorities do not believe he was homeless.
