ROLLOVER CRASH: Former NBA Star Dennis Rodman Unharmed in Rollover Accident
August 2, 2010
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Former Chicago Bulls forward Dennis Rodman survived an SUV rollover accident in South Florida where he walked away from the crash virtually unscathed last Saturday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle accident occurred on the Interstate 95 near Fort Lauderdale when one of the tires of the Land Rover they were riding blew out.
Reports said that the SUV flipped three times before stopping.
The former NBA star and the other occupants were pulled out of the vehicle by witnesses.
Rodman only suffered a scratch on his finger while his fellow passenger was also unhurt in the crash.
The driver, on the other hand, was taken to a hospital due to a gash in the head but is now in stable condition.
Rodman had just returned from a disc-jockey gig in the Caribbean Islands of St. Tropez.
His agent, Darren Price, confirmed that he had spoken with his client where he confirmed that Rodman was indeed unhurt in the car crash.
“I’m still living brother. They can’t get rid of me.” Rodman apparently told Price in their conversations.
Dennis Rodman was a two time NBA defensive player of the year and is known for his antics on and off the court.
He won three championships with the Chicago Bulls in the 90s and two with the Detroit Pistons in the 80s.
He has appeared in movies and TV shows including “Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew.”
