CAR CRASH: Five Hurt in SF Car Crash
April 20, 2010
San Francisco – At least five people were sent to the hospital after a taxi cab ran the red light at a downtown intersection Monday afternoon, causing a chain of car crashes.
According to the witnesses’ claims, an Arrow Cab was cruising south of Powell Street when it struck a PT Cruiser. The PT Cruiser spun, hitting two pedestrians on the west sidewalk. The cab, meanwhile, was wedged between a fire hydrant and a building.
Two pedestrians, two passengers from the PT Cruiser, and the cab driver suffered non-fatal injuries. Spokesman for the San Francisco police Samson Chan said that the investigators will test the cab driver for drugs and alcohol.
