Pedestrian Accident: Female pedestrian killed in Brentwood Accident

Brentwood – A middle-school girl suffered from fatal injuries after she was hit by a Mercedes-Benz sedan while crossing a street in Brentwood Friday morning.

According to police, the girl was crossing the street to catch a school bus at around 7:20 a.m. in the 100 block of North Cliffwood Drive when a Mercedes struck her as it was turning from a corner.

Sources say the driver apparently stopped after the incident, but left the scene.

Investigators are now searching for the driver of the Mercedes, and a few young people riding a gray Toyota who may have witnessed, or been involved in the accident, police said.
