BICYCLE ACCIDENT: Elderly Rider Die after Solo Bicycle Crash

Escondido- A 79-year-old rider died after crashing his bicycle on Mission Avenue, east of Gamble Street, on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., according to reports.
Paramedics rushed the rider to a local hospital, where he died shortly after arrival, reports said.
Police officers commented that the man was not wearing helmet, and the bicycle had no lights on at the time of accident. Authorities also stated that no vehicles seemed involved.
Authorities are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
