Elderly Hospitalized after Pitbull Attack

Encino - An elderly man was hospitalized recently after being attacked by two pitbulls that got out of a yard, authorities said.

The Encino man, who was said to be in his 70s, was attacked near Burbank Boulevard at around 9pm while he was walking around the neighborhood.

Passersby and witnesses helped in scaring the dogs away while some motorist honked their horns to drive away the animals.

The victim had bite injuries to his arms but is said to be in stable condition.
