Elderly Driver Hit Wall while Parking

Orange – An elderly driver struck the wall of a vacant apartment this morning while parking her car in a hospital, according to Orange police.
The 84-year-old woman remained at the scene to answer questions of the police.
According to reports, the elderly woman lost control while trying to park her gold Cadillac CTS in the Orange Imaging Medical Center in 293 S. Main Street.
The car then drove through a wooden fence until it was stopped by the back wall of a two-storey apartment building at 1323 Palmyra Avenue.
The impact caused a dent on the wall.
An orange police officer said that the driver accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake.
No one, including the driver, was injured in the accident.
