CAR ACCIDENT: Elderly Driver Dies after Hitting Tree in Costa Mesa

Costa Mesa - An 88-year-old male driver has died after his car struck a tree along Fairview Road, said authorities.
According to reports, the man was traveling north of Fair Drive when he suddenly veered to the left, towards the center divider, and crashed into a tree at around 7:23 p.m.
He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, causing him to suffer from severe head trauma after hitting the vehicle’s windshield and steering wheel.
Reports said the man’s identity was withheld due to pending family notification.
