CAR CRASH: Driver Killed in Fiery Crash on I-5 in Elk Grove

Elk Grove – A 25-year-old man was killed Thursday morning after his car crashed head on with a big rig truck along the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 in Elk Grove, officials said.
According to reports, a white BMW was heading south on I-5 at a high rate of speed when it crossed the center divider and collided with the northbound big rig.
The entire front part of the car was detached, which caused it to burst into flames. The car driver was killed instantly while the driver of the big rig was brought to a hospital with minor injuries.
Witnesses said the truck tried to avoid the collision, which caused its trailer to fall on its side, blocking the highway’s northbound lanes.
