BIG RIG ACCIDENT: Driver Gets off Car, Got Hit and Killed by Truck

Diamond Bar – A woman was struck and killed by a big rig recently after she pulled over on the side of a freeway and got off the vehicle, the California Highway Patrol said.

Reports indicate that 26-year-old Blanca Aguirre walked out of the vehicle pulled over on the 60 freeway to talk to a female passenger just after midnight when she was hit by the big rig while walking back to the driver’s side.

Aguirre died at the scene. No other injuries were immediately reported.

Authorities continue to investigate other factors that may have contributed to the accident.
