VEHICLE COLLISION: Driver Dead, Passenger Injured Highway 99 Collision

Sutter County - A male driver died while his passenger was injured when his car crashed into a big rig along Highway 99, said reports.
The Sutter County sheriff-coroner identified the driver as Ryan Edgmon, 33, from Sacramento.
According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers, Edgmon was traveling southbound on Highway 99 when he suddenly turned to the left, crossed over the solid double yellow lines, and went right into the path of a northbound tractor-trailer rig.
Reports said the car passenger was brought to a hospital after complaining of pain while the truck driver was unharmed in the collision.
Authorities were forced to close Highway 99 from the Garden Highway to Highway 113 for around four hours after the accident in order to remove the fuel spill from the truck.
