Cyclist Dies after Collision with Car

Duarte – A man dies after his bicycle was hit by a car at an intersection Monday night, authorities reported.

The bicyclist was reportedly on the intersection of Huntington Drive and Crestfield Drive at around 7:30 p.m. when he was hit y an approaching vehicle.

He was thrown off his bike and landed on the pavement as a witness heard a “skid and a thud”. Authorities are yet to identify the man who appeared to be in his 50’s.

Authorities said that the intersection is accident prone as there have been many preceding accidents before the recent collision.

Paramedics tried to revive the man before taking him away after a few minutes.

Officials are yet to determine whether speed is a factor in the accident.
