Car Accident: Collision Injures Three in Highway 101

Salinas – The collision of a Lexus and a Dodge at Spencer Road has resulted to three injuries Tuesday afternoon, reports said.
Baltazar Santiago, 50, of Gilroy, was said to have been travelling on the southbound lanes of Highway 101 and was making a left-hand turn to Spencer Road when he was hit by the black Dodge driven by the 71-year-old Richard Ceyzyk causing massive damages to the passenger side of the Lexus.
The passenger of the Lexus identified as 46-year-old Irma Santiago of Gilroy sustained serious injuries along with Ceyzyk and had to be airlifted to San Jose. Ceyzyk had a broken leg and had other moderate injuries.
Baltazar Santiago was transported to Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital to be treated for moderate injuries.
Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
