VEHICLE COLLISION: Collision Injures Fresno Officer

Fresno – A police officer responding to a call was hospitalized after colliding with another vehicle Tuesday night in downtown Fresno, authorities said.

Reports indicate that the accident at the intersection of Fulton and Divisidero Streets occurred around 7:20 pm when the officer’s car collided with the vehicle with four occupants.

None of the vehicle’s occupants complained of pain and the driver volunteered to have his blood-alcohol level tested. The results are yet to be released.

The officer was said to be on his way to assist in a traffic stop and had his lights and sirens on. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where his condition stabilized.
