AVIATION ACCIDENT: California Fighter Jet Crash Results in 2 Fatalities

Lemoore - At least two people have died when an F/A-18 aircraft crashed near a Central California air base, said Fresno County officials.

Reports said the deaths were confirmed, but the Fresno County deputy refused to release other details regarding it.

According to Lemoore-based Naval Air Station officials, the accident occurred along a grassy field, less than a mile from the base.

F/18 Hornets are used for combat operations of the military. They are also used to perform aerial shows during the Navy’s Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron, said reports.
