CPSP Warns Consumers on Recalled AMX batteries and Touch Panels
November 13, 2009
Washington – The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSP) has asked consumers to stop using rechargeable batteries and MVP 5000 Series Wireless Touch Panels by AMX following the voluntary recall of the products the other day.
At least 1,900 touch panels were sold from May 2009 to June 2009 by AMX dealers nationwide. The batteries might cause burn injuries and fire which could result from not charging the batteries for three months.
AMX issued a battery replacement for consumers affected by the recall.
