MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: CHP officer seriously injured in Petaluma motorcycle accident

Petaluma - A California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer sustained major injuries after his motorcycle crashed on Lakeville Highway on Wednesday.
The CHP officer collided with another vehicle in Petaluma near Frates Road at 12:03 p.m., reports said.
CHP Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said that rescuers were able to utilize a helicopter to transport the injured official to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Details on the injuries remained undisclosed.
Passengers from the other vehicle sustained no injuries. Petaluma police authorities were still investigating the cause of the accident.
