Big Rig Overturns, Causes Multi-Vehicle Accident

Baldwin Park – At least six other vehicles were involved in a collision after a Toys “R” Us big rig overturned along the eastbound lane of San Fernando Freeway early Thursday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The big rig reportedly crashed onto the center divider sending debris to the westbound lanes of the freeway at around 2:40 a.m. causing a seven-vehicle collision.
Debris from the center divider caused another vehicle to rollover and collision of two big rigs. Three other vehicles were reportedly damaged either from collision with another vehicle or after being struck by debris.
At least two motorists suffered moderate injuries while others sustained minor damages. All were taken to hospitals for treatment.
Initial findings show that the accident resulted from speeding.
All lanes were reopened after five hours of investigation.
