Bicycle Collided with Semi Trailer in Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach – The Huntington Beach Police Department is investigating the cause of a collision between a semi trailer and a bicycle yesterday.
According to reports, while a 2007 international semi truck, driven by 29-year-old Juan Sotto of Anaheim, was waiting at a red light in the eastbound lane of Edinger Street to make a right-turn towards Gothard Street, a 10-speed bicycle, driven by Dalia Albert, 26, of Huntington Beach approached east in the bike lane.
When the light turned green, Albert kept going as Soto made a right turn. The two vehicles collided at about 4:10 pm.
Albert was brought to UCI Medical Center in Orange after sustaining severe cuts and broken bones in her legs.
She was said to be in stable condition as of last night.
