BICYCLE ACCIDENT: Bicycle Accident Kills Man in Coachella Freeway

Coachella– The Riverside County Police has confirmed the death of a male bicyclist after his body was found lying on top of his bicycle in a Coachella freeway overpass around 8:00 p.m. Friday.

Reports said that the victim was riding his bicycle, which has no working brake and headlight, along Avenue 50 overpass when it sped up due to the down slope. Authorities believed the man lost control of his bike before crashing into a metal pole.

There are no signs that any pedestrian or driver was involved in the accident, said the police.

Officials have yet to announce the identity of the victim until his family has been notified.
