INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT: BP Refinery Employee Dies after Railcar Accident

Carson-A BP refinery worker has died after a railcar accident on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m.
The male employee was working in the railcar area when he was pinned by a railcar. He was pronounced dead at the accident scene, according to Los Angeles police reports.
Reports said the railcar was transporting butane and other light products through the refinery when the accident occurred.
A BP refinery spokesman commented that the victim had been a long time employee. The Los Angeles Police Department and California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal OSHA) are investigating the cause of the accident.
