Authorities Investigating Connection of 2 Lakeside Car Crashes

Lakeside – Authorities are investigating if the Blossom Road car accident that killed one person is connected to an earlier crash in Via Del Cruz.

According to reports, the crash was reported at about 10:30 p.m. when a vehicle slammed into a palm tree and burst into flame on Blossom Road near Jennings Road in Lakeside.

The man was killed on the scene.

Police and fire officials are trying to find out if the crash was related to an earlier crash that saw a man ram his pickup into his wife’s home on Via Del Cruz.

The impact of the crash sparked a fire that damaged the home. The fire displaced at least two people.

There were no further details about the cause of both accidents.
