Actor Travolta's pet dogs killed in Bangor Airport

Bangor, Maine - Actor John Travolta's dogs were killed in a freak accident at Bangor International Airport on Thursday at 1 a.m.

A service pickup truck at the airport hit the dogs as they were strolled shortly after the plane landed, according to reports.

City officials said that the service vehicle did not notice the dogs while it was heading to the plane.

Airport authorities are currently investigating the details on the cause of the accident.

The misfortune happened 16 months after Travolta and his wife actress Kelly Preston had lost their 16-year old son Jett. The teenager passed away after suffering a seizure in Travolta family's Old Bahama Bay home.
