PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: 54-Year-Old Man Critically Injured After Getting Hit Twice by Two Vehicles
December 29, 2011Garden Grove – A 54-year-old man was critically injured after getting hit twice by two vehicles in Orange County, reports said.
The pedestrian accident happened Thursday when Gregory Martin was crossing West Street in Garden Grove. He was first hit by a gray Dodge Magnum at around 6:40 PM.
The driver of the vehicle did not stop and immediately fled the scene. According to the police, a witness tracked down the car and acquired the vehicle’s license plate number.
According to reports, shortly after, a white Ford Explorer hit on Martin for the second time as he was lying on the street.
Martin was dragged 750 feet before the driver of the Explorer stopped.
The man wasn’t using a crosswalk when the incident happened. He was rushed to a nearby medical facility and is currently in critical condition, reports said.
The driver of the Magnum is still at large after the said vehicle was found abandoned in Santa Ana.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Explorer, who managed to stop after hearing strange dragging sounds, was released by the police, reports said.
