Rollover Crash: 4 Killed in Rollover Accident outside Sacramento Friday
June 3, 2011
Sacramento - Three people were killed while one was critically injured early Friday after a rollover accident on Sloughhouse Road near Jackson Highway, outside Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to officers, the four victims were aboard a Mazda Millennia sedan heading north on Sloughhouse Road at around 2:55 am when the car hit a dip on the road. Due to the vehicle’s high speed, it was sent airborne and struck a raised curb, which caused it to rollover.
Two passengers sitting at the backseat both died at the scene. The driver, who was ejected from the vehicle during the accident suffered fatal injuries. The front-seat passenger, the only victim wearing a seatbelt, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Investigators cannot immediately determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
