VEHICLE COLLISION: 3 injured in Elk Grove vehicle collision

Elk Grove – At least three people were hospitalized Wednesday night after a vehicle collision at the intersection of Laguna Boulevard and Harbour Point Drive, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to reports, a vehicle travelling eastbound on Laguna Boulevard tried to turn to the northbound lane of Harbour Point Drive and misjudged the traffic lights. As a result, it ran through a red light and collided with a crossing vehicle heading west on Laguna Boulevard.
The three occupants of the first vehicle all suffered mild to moderate injuries, one with a broken foot. The solo occupant of the second vehicle was unharmed but complained pain.
Other possible causes of the accident are under investigation.
