Vehicle Collision: 3 dead on Highway 78 Nissan-Jeep Cherokee crash

San Diego - At least three people were killed in a SUV-car accident on Highway 78 at Sycamore Avenue on Friday.
Police said a Nissan Altima pulled on hard shoulder when one of its two female occupants became ill. A Jeep Chorekee crashed onto its rear, hitting the two women who went outside the car at 12:30 a.m., reports said.
A male occupant in the Jeep Chorekee sustained fatal injuries, while two male passengers in the SUV sustained minor injuries, Medical Examiner official said.
The two women were residents from Escondido and Valley Center and were employees at Valley View Casino. The names of the victims remained undisclosed.
California Highway Patrol officers are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
