INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT: 2 Workers Injured in School Forklift Accident

Orland- At least two workers were injured following a forklift accident at a school construction site on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.
According to reports, the operator was moving a steel beam when it struck a power line. A worker, who is assisting on the beam, was electrocuted and suffered serious injuries. Paramedics arrived and transported him to U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
A second worker suffered injuries after dousing flames from the forklift. He received medical treatment at the scene. The accident brought power down to the school and nearby homes. Authorities restored power Wednesday night, reports said.
Reports said no other injuries were reported. Classes resumed on Thursday. Police officers are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
