CAR ACCIDENT: 2 Killed, 2 Injured in Suspected DUI Crash

Avila Beach – At least two people were instantly killed early Friday after a solo vehicle accident on Avila Beach Drive, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to reports, 21-year-old Evan Green was driving a silver 2004 Saturn westbound on Avila Beach Drive near Cave Landing Road at about 2:10 am when he lost control of the vehicle and overcorrected.
The vehicle flipped several times and crashed into a fence. Investigators said the Saturn was travelling at around 45 mph when the accident happened.
Two passengers, both 21 years old, were killed during the incident. Their families would be notified by authorities.
Another passenger, Jacob Zimmer, 21, suffered serious injuries. Zimmer and Green were taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Green was taken into custody facing driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter charges.
