ATV Accident: 2 Injured in Sonora ATV Accident

Sonora, Calif. – A 44-year-old female driver suffered serious injuries while a 23-year-old man was moderately wounded Monday morning after she lost control of the ATV she was driving at 1550 Peoria Flat Road, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said.

According to reports, Christina Pfell was driving downhill while making a slight turn when she lost control of the ATV and crashed. Her passenger, Roy Shuway, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered minor injuries.

Pfell was brought to Doctors Hospital in Modesto. She suffered life-threatening injuries due to the crash.

Investigators said neither of the two victims was wearing a helmet when the accident took place.
